Piano Lessons
The piano is not difficult to learn with a patient and experienced teacher! Research has shown that piano lessons help keep the mind sharp, fosters higher learning skills and offers creative and emotional self expression which is lifelong. Plus, it’s fun!
Piano lessons include learning proper technique, music notation, intervals and chord theory. Voice lessons can be added as well . Don’t worry if you can’t read music. Musical notation is basically a 3-D grid, which is almost like another language. And the good news is that it is NEVER too late to learn.
Music build character, emotional intelligence and cognitive skills. Research has shown that piano lessons foster higher learning, greater quantitive reasoning and spatial ability and offers creative and emotional self-expression, which are all life-long benefits.
Studio Location
Lessons are held online and also in person in Ellensburg, WA. Online lessons are a great way to learn because you can pick the teacher that works well with your child as well as yourself. No commuting required! If you have a web cam, you can do online lessons on Zoom, FaceTime of though Facebook.

Reading and math ability enables a more focused approach to the piano while still appealing to a sense of fun. This is the age when great musical concepts, skill building and good practice habits can be built and reinforced. Recommended Books: Piano Adventure Series by Nancy Faber & Randall Faber
Young people this age appreciate greater challenges and can handle a comprehensive approach to the piano involving continued skill building, sight reading, notation & music theory. Recommended Book: Adult Piano Adventures by Nancy & Randal Faber
I have been teaching online since 2011, way before Covid forced everyone to go online. I have found that online lessons have proven to work just as well as in person lessons without the hassle of commuting to your teacher’s studio.
Performance Opportunities
Yearly opportunities for performance and adjudications are available through the Yakima-Ellensburg WSMTA and studio only recitals. Although performances and adjudications are optional they are strongly encouraged.
